Punjab resident arrested with 50 kg poppy husk

Jammu, Oct 1 (UNI) Police arrested a Punjab resident and seized 50 kg poppy husk (bhukki) from his possession at general bus stand here last evening, official sources today said.

The person, identified as Manjeet Singh of Mirpur Jattan in Nawashehr Tehsil of Punjab, was apprehended during routine police checking at the bus stand.

During questioning, he revealed that the contraband was being taken from Srinagar to his native place.
