Partha Sengupta appointed VP of Tata Steel

Jamshedpur,Oct 1 (UNI) Mr Partha Sengupta has been appointed as the Vice-President of Corporate Services of Tata Steel today.

Mr Sengupta, a Bachelors in Metallurgy from IT,BHU, joined Tata Steel as a Graduate Trainee in 1980 and headed various important departments of the company.

He would now head departments like Medical Services,Corporate Sustainability Services, Corporate Communications, Tata Football Academy and Sports, company sources said.

In 2006 Mr Sengupta was given the additional responsibity of leading the Jharkhand Steel Project.
