NALCO bags Capexil award for 20th year in succession
Bhubaneswar, Oct 1 (UNI) For the 20th year in succession, India's leading manufacturer-exporter public sector National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has received the top export award of Capexil under processed minerals category for 2006-07.
Company Chairman-cum-Managing Director C R Pradhan received the prestigious award under different categories from Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee at a function held in New Delhi today.
During 2006-07, NALCO had achieved the highest-ever sales turnover of Rs 6515 crore, including the highest-ever export earning of Rs 2585 crore. The net profit was also the highest-ever at Rs 2381 crore during the last fiscal.
The public sector undertaking already enjoyed a Super Star Trading House status and the first Indian aluminium company to be registered with London Metal Exchange, for its high quality products, Company sources said.
