Contraband, gas lighters with obscene pictures seized in Tripura

Agartala, Oct 1 (UNI) The Tripura police seized a consignment of contraband and 150 gas lighters with obscene pictures from North Tripura in the past 24 hours.

Police here today said five people have been arrested in the contraband case, while investigation was on to nab the miscreants dealing in the gas lighters.

Acting on a tip-off, the north Tripura police, led by the Kailashahar SDPO, raided the Kanchanbari market yesterday and recovered 45 litres country liquor, 28 bottles of foreign liquor and about 67 litres of kerosene which were stored illegally.

In another raid, police recovered 150 gas lighters with obscene photographs and arrested five people yesterday.
