Puducherry, Oct 1(UNI) The AIADMK here today demanded that the Puducherry Government be dismissed for violating the order of the Supreme Court in respect of the bandh to press for the speedy implementation of the Sethusamundram Shipping Channel Project(SSCP).

Talking to newspersons here, the party State Secretary, Anbazhagan alleged that a bandh was observed in Puducherry under the pretext of fast.

He alleged that despite the party giving a representation to the senior Superintendent of Police, Chaya Sharma about the forceful closure of shops, affecting the people severely, the administration failed to take precautionary measures.

Mr Anbazhagan said the Supreme Court order is binding on all States and there need not be a seperate order for Puducherry. The Chief Minister N Rangasamy, however, did nothing to prevent the observance of a bandh under the pretext of fast, he alleged.

He said if a separate order for Puducherry is necessary, the AIADMK with the permission of its leader J Jayalalithaa, would file a suit in the Apex Court, he added.
