VHP terms Ramsethu agitation 'non-political'
Allahabad, Sep 30 (UNI) Terming the agitation to protect the Ram Sethu as a 'non-political' move, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) general secretary Praveen Togadia today said they expected all the political parties to come forward and save the undersea bridge.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Togadia said ''the agitation was a complete non-political movement.'' Announcing two more phases of agitation beginning October 12, the VHP leader added the two-phase protest, which started on September 12 drew tremendous response.
'We are still awaiting government's assurance on non-demolition of the undersea bridge,'' he said.
The party would aggravate its protest if government does not step back by December 10, Mr Togadia warned.
In its the fourth phase from November 20, 'Rameshwaram Ramsethu Shilayatra'(RRS) would start from over 5,000 places in India simultaneously.
