SC special sitting to hear AIADMK plea on Oct 1

New Delhi, Sep 30: The Supreme Court is holding a special sitting today to hear a petition by the AIADMK against the ruling DMK-sponsored Tamil Nadu bandh tomorrow.

AIADMK is praying to the court to restrain the ruling party in the state from going ahead with the 12-hour 'bandh' to press for the implementation of Sethusamudram project.

In its petition, the party had expressed apprehension of widespread violence during the 'bandh'.
