Manipur journalists demand implementation of wage board

Imphal, Sep 30 (UNI) The All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) has announced plans to stage a sit-in protest on October 2 at the Manipur Press Club premises demanding the implementation of journalists' wage board recommendations.

This is in support of the national level protest organised by the Indian Federation of Working Journalists(IFWJ).

A decision in this regard was adopted at an emergency meeting of the standing committee, Union Secretary Jinendra said.

The sit-in protest will commence at 1000 hours and continue till 1600 hours and all journalists were appealed to participate in the protest.
