Major tragedy averted in South Kashmir, grenade defused

Srinagar, Sep 30 (UNI) Security forces averted a major tragedy when they detected and defused a live grenade in South Kashmir, a police spokesman said.

The grenade was detected by the security forces on the roadside at village Kehribal, in temple town of Mattan, in South Kashmir.

The area was immediately sealed and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) summoned who later defused it without causing any damage.
