Karunanidhi to observe a day's fast to protest bandh stay

Chennai, Sep 30 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi will observe a day's fast tomorrow to protest against the Supreme Court (SC) order staying the bandh called by the DMK-led DPA on the Sethusamudram Shipping Canal Project (SSCP) issue here.

Hours after the SC, in a special hearing stayed the state-wide bandh scheduled for tomorrow, Mr Karunanidhi announced that he along with leaders of DPA would observe a fast in front of the state guest house tomorrow.
