3 dead, 4 injured in building collapse in Kolkata

Kolkata, Sep 30 (UNI) At least three persons were killed and four injured as a two-storeyed building collapsed at Bedford Lane in Ripon street here early this morning.

Police said two fire engines were rushed to the spot.

Fire brigade sources said the four persons, who were trapped in the rubble, were rescued and rushed to the Chittaranjan Hospital.

CPI(M) MP Mohammed Salim had also arrived at the site to take stock of the situation, police added.
