Kashmiri almonds ready to hit markets

Srinagar, Sep 29, 2007 : Almond growers in Kashmir are gearing up to hit the local market as the harvesting season reaches its final stages. Known for their superiority of taste, Kashmir almonds are categorized on the basis of their shell thickness as papery, thin-shelled or thick-shelled.

With a comparatively good weather this season, the state authorities are hoping for a better return for the growers.
