Two drowned in boat tragedy in Gopalganj

Gopalganj, Sep 29(UNI)Two women drowned in a boat mishap in the swollen Gausia river under Majhagarh police station here today.

Police said the country boat ferrying 15 people of Gausia village lost its balance and overturned after being caught in the strong river current.

Chandeshwari Devi and Malti Devi met their watery grave in the accident while others swam to safety.

The bodies had been fished out.
