Tug-of-War national championship from Nov 24 at Khanna

Jalandhar,Sep 29: The two-day 16th National Tug-of-War Championship will be held from November 24 at Khanna in Punjab.

Punjab Tug-of-War Association president Jagbir Singh Brar, MLA, told media persons here today that two-day state championship of Tug-of-war would be held at Kotkapura from October 27 in which 300 girls and boys players would be participating from all the district of the state.

In the national championship, he said 22 teams of boys and girls, including from Andaman and Nicobar Islands, would be participating the event.

To promote this game in villages, clubs would be set up in villages, he added.
