TN CM opens modern police control room

Tiruchirapalli, Sep 29: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi opened a modern police control room established at a cost of Rs 40 lakh here on September 28.

Police sources said the control room was constructed by the Tamil Nadu Police Housing Corporation. The fully air-conditioned computerised control room is equipped with all facilities for effective monitoring of the movement of vehicles and people in various parts of the city.

Traffic violations are monitored using speed dome cameras, the sources added.
