Kohima Sep 29 (UNI) Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today left for Kolkata, on his way to Bangkok to attend the North East Business Summit to be held there from October 1 to 4.
Talking to UNI before his departure from Dimapur, Mr Rio said he would attend the North East Business Summit as a part of Indian delegation led by the North East Council Minister Mani Shankar Aiyer and membered by Chief Ministers of all the Northeastern states, other Ministers, bureaucrats and entrepreneurs will be the members of the delegation.
The NE Business Summit has been organised by the North Eastern Council (NEC) at Bangkok with an aim to attract businessmen of the ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) countries to open their business avenues.
The Chief Ministers and other Ministers of the region will elaborate about the various scopes of business in their respective states to woo businessmen of the ASEAN countries.
Mr Rio said he will lead a delegation of the state consisting of State Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner Lalthara, Director of Handloom and Handicraft, the General Manager of Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation and a group of entrepreneurs.
