Man-son crushed in mishap, mob stages 'dharna'

Lucknow, Sep 29 (UNI) A mob staged a demonstration for several hours in Alamabag area of the Uttar Pradesh capital, a father-son duo, who were hit by a seeding truck last night, succumbed today.

Sandeep along with his father Salekh was grievously injured after being hit by the truck on Mavaiya road.

The wounded were admitted to a close-by hospital in a life threatening condition, where they succumbed this morning.

Irked over the incident, a mob staged a 'dharna' on Mavaiya road, leading to traffic snarls for a couple of hours.

The jam could be cleared only after senior officials reached the spot and assured compensation to the deceased's family.
