House of alleged killer burnt in Imphal

Imphal, Sep 29: A house of a man, allegedly involved in the murder of another man last night, was today burnt down by a mob.

Police today said, the individual whose house was burnt down had also been apprehended by the police. Sixty-year-old Akoijam Yaima of Mongsangei Boroi Makhong was shot dead last night by unidentified gunmen, who arrived in a Maruti car, police said.

Police said a mob today burnt a house near the house of the deceased man. Police further informed that enquiry was on to ascertain whether the onwner of the house that was burnt down was anyhow involved in the killing.
