Hyderabad, Sep 29 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu today said his party would provide free house sites to the poor if it was voted to power in the next election.

Addressing a press conference here, he said once voted back to power, the poor would be given the power to sell ''assigned lands'' and the party would waive the cooperative farm loans of debt-ridden farmers.

He also assured peasants that a market stabilisation fund of Rs 1,000 crore would be constituted to ensure remunerative price for their produce.

On 'free power scheme' of the Rajasekhara Reddy government, Mr Naidu contended that it was the earlier TDP government that had initiated several steps to strengthen the power sector in the state.

Alleging large scale corruption in irrigation projects, he said his party would take steps to stop ''indiscriminate auctioning'' of government lands.
