Energy Dept would start 28 new substations: Minister
Bangalore, Sep 29 (UNI) Karnataka Energy Minister H D Revanna today said the department has planned to start 28 new power substations to improve the energy supply in the city.
Mr Revanna told reporters here the Government would invest Rs 2,861 crore for the substations.
The foundation stone laying would take place on October one here and the work would be completed in the next 18 months, he added.
The minister said the power needs of the city in the next 20 years would be met with the opening of 28 new substations.
