Congress trapped in Ram Sethu issue: Arun Jaitley

Jaipur, Sep 29 (UNI) BJP General Secretary and former Union Minister Arun Jaitley today said the Congress was adopting double standards over legality of the Ram Sethu and the Ayodhya's Ram Temple issues.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Jaitley said the Congress led government at the Centre had been of the view that aspect of religious faith and senitments in the case of the Ram Sethu could not be decided by the court while it had been advocating the settlement, through the court, in a similar matter of Ram Janmabhoomi.

He said the Congress should clarify whether it was ready to adopt same the approach in both the cases of religious faith and sentiments.

Mr Jaitley said the Congress had been trapped in its contradictory stances in these matters.

Mr Jaitley was in town to address the concluding session of the Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha's two-day national convention here this evening.
