Chandigarh, Sep 29 (UNI) Hailing the decision of the Supreme Court staying four per cent reservation for Muslims in educational institutions in Andhra Pradesh, senior BJP leader Ratan Lal Katariya today asked the UPA government, the Congress and its allies to desist from such ''communal agenda.'' In a statement, Mr Katariya said that the apex court in its earlier decisions had also struck down the various ordinances issued by the Andhra Pradesh government in 2004 and 2005 by providing five per cent reservation for Muslims.

Criticising Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Arjun Singh for promoting such policies, he said the UPA government was weak and unable to see through the game of its own ''ambitious Minister.'' Mr Katariya called upon the ''well wishers'' of the country to ''checkmate such disastrous moves of the UPA government before it is to too late.'' UNI
