Andhra BJP to convene emergency state executive on Oct 3-4

Hyderabad, Sep 29 (UNI) Foreseeing a possible snap poll in the wake of the stand off between the Congress and the Left over the Indo-US nuclear deal, the BJP in Andhra Pradesh has decided to convene an emergency state executive meeting on October 3 and 4.

Talking to newspersons here today, BJP State President B Datattraya said the party would discuss the changed ''political situation'' and gear up the party machinery for a possible early polls.

The meeting would chalk out a political strategy and identify issues to exert pressure on the UPA government at the Centre and the Congress government in the state, he added.

The BJP's three-day national executive in Bhopal last week, sensing an early elections to the Lok Sabha, had asked the party state units to prepare for the possible mid-term polls.
