Student union president held for murder in Kanpur

Kanpur, Sep 28 (UNI) DAV college student union president Ashish Sahu was arrested today for his alleged involvement in a murder and robbery case.

On September 10, unidentified assailants robbed and later brutally murdered an affluent trader of the city Abhinav Jain, police said.

Traders staged demonstration demanding arrest of the accused.

During inquiry, Ashish Sahu's name came to light, following which he was held near Jhakarkati bridge and sent to jail, police said.

UNI
