Rajasthan Police constable shoots self at Canadian High Commission
New Delhi, Sep 28 (UNI) A Rajasthan Police Constable allegedly committed suicide at the Canadian High Commission in the high security Chanakyapuri area of New Delhi district.
Mahendra Singh (25), hailing from Sikar in Rajasthan, allegedly shot himself in the chin with his service rifle last night at the Canadian High Commission premises, said sources.
He was rushed to the RML Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
His body has been kept at the Lady Hardinge Medical College and Hospital for post mortem.
No suicide note has been found and the cause behind him taking the extreme step was being ascertained, said the police adding that the family had been informed.
Married for four years and a father of one, Singh was deployed just two days back at the High Commission.
