Bhopal, Sep 28 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said the government would not allow to celebrate the anniversary of India's First War of Independence as a British victory.

Mr Chouhan, while addressing a public meeting on the birth centenary anniversary of Amar Shahid Bhagat Singh, a true history of independence struggle has not been put before public.

Pointing out that several thousands of people had laid down their lives for achieving independence, he said Bhagat Singh had kissed the hangman's noose smilingly.

He stressed on the need for kindling patriotism among children.
