Nabinagar Super Thermal Powers construction to start soon

Aurangabad, Sep 28 (UNI) Construction work of the much awaited Navinagar Super Thermal Power station with a generation capacity of 1000 MW would soon start in the district.

After a meeting with the senior officials of NTPC Limited, District Magistrate Virandra Bahadur Pandey today said the process for land acquisition was already underway and it would be made available to the NTPC shortly.

He said three acres of land were being given to the NTPC immediately for construction of office and other such units.

Mr Pandey said the farmers whose lands were being acquired for the purpose would be compensated suitably as per the new compensation policy of the state government.

Disclosing the requirement of land for construction of the power station he said that about 1500 acres of land was required for the purpose.
