Major fire in New Novelty market in Indore

Indore, Sep 28 (UNI) Several godowns and shops were gutted in a major fire that broke out in the three-storey New Novelty market last night, fire service sources said today.

Goods including cosmetics, gifts and electronic goods worth lakhs of rupees was destroyed in the fire.

There are about 150 shops in the market.

Shops in the third floor were also in the grip of fire.

Nine fire tenders and 60 water tankers fought the blaze and controlled the fire.

The cause of fire was not immediately known.
