Freedom fighter Shiv Murti Giri dead

Jaunpur, Sep 28 (UNI) Nonagenarian freedom fighter Shiv Murti Giri passed away here this morning.

He was 92.

Murti died at his ancestoral house in Sadipur Mathiya village.

Meanwhile, former Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Mata Prasad Pandey, former Union Home Minister Swami Vimyanand, former Home Minister of Maharashtra Kripa Shankar Singh and several other politicians had condoled his demise.

The last rites of Murti would be performed with full state honours at Varanasi's Manikarnika Ghat.
