2180 cubic metres 'Nirmalya' collected during Ganeshotsav
Mumbai, Sep 28 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has collected around 2180 cubic metres of ''Nirmalya (the offerings made to Lord Ganesha)'' in the city during Ganeshotsav.
The ''Nirmalya'' will be converted into manure after composting, BMC commissioner Jairaj Pathak told reporters here today.
Mr Pathak said 10 per cent of the ''Nirmalya'' will be composted and the manure prepared will be sold to citizens through horticulturists.
