Writ petition filed against Karunanidhi for anti-Ram comments

Ranchi, Sep 27 (UNI) A writ petition has been filed in Jharkhand high Court against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi and Doranda police station for not executing the FIR lodged against the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister who had belittled Lord Ram.

The petitioner Ram Subak Singh, an advocate, alleged that no action was taken on his FIR lodged with the Doranda police station against Karunanidhi for terming Lord Ram ''drunkyard''.

In his petition Mr Singh said Karunanidhi's statement had hurt the peoples sentiments adding the remarks were punishable under section 295 A of IPC.

Mr Singh said Karunanidhi should be arrested and brought back to Jharkhand for further legal proceedings.
