Unemployed girl commits suicide

Panchkula, Sep 27 (UNI) A post-graduate girl, allegedly depressed over her unemployed status, committed suicide here today.

Police said Preeti Mahajan, who had recently returned from Kolkata after completing M A in Fine Arts, hanged herself to death at her residence in Sector 12.

Her parents told the police that Preeti had been under depression as she could not find a job for herself while most of her batch mates had got employed.

Preeti was alone at home when she ended her life as her parents and a brother had gone on work.

Police sent her body to the local civil hospital for most mortem and registered a case in this connection.
