Sinnar bandh today over trivial matter
Nashik, Sep 27 (UNI) A bandh called by traders and citizens in Sinnar, to protest against the unruly behaviour of some miscreants, began peacefully here today.
According to sources, following some personal quarrel between two cable channel owners, some miscreants tried to create fear among the citizens yesterday. They beat some citizens and pelted stones at shops. This had created panic among the people. Following this, the citizens and traders took out a morcha near the police station demanding action against the miscreants. They had then called for a bandh today.
Police have arrested 21 persons in this connection. A case has been filed against them under Section 143, 147, 395, 33 of the IPC.
Some State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) and Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel have also been deployed to maintain peace in the town.
Meanwhile, a delegation of citizens and traders will meet the Tehsildar Bhimrao Shinde and submit a memorandum later in the day.
