Rains forecast in Orissa, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Goa

Pune, Sep 27 (UNI) The Southwest Monsoon has been vigorous in Orissa and Madhya Pradesh.

It has been subdued in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and north interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Saurashtra, Kutch, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.

Heavy rains have occurred at most places in Orissa, and at many places in Gujarat.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Jharkhand, at many places in Konkan, Goa, and Lakshadweep, and at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Chattisgarh, and coastal Karnataka.
