Karunanidhi effects minor reshuffle of portfolios

Chennai, Sep 27 (UNI) In a minor reshuffle of portfolios, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today re-allocated the portfolios of Housing and Slum Clearance Minister Subha Thangavelan and Minister for Revenue and Prisons I Periasamy.

On the advice of the Chief Minister, Governor S S Barnala re-allocated the Housing, Rural Housing and Housing Development portfolios, hitherto held by Mr Subha Thangavelan to Minister of Revenue and Prisons I Periasami, in addition to the subjects held by him.

Mr Periasami was re-designated as Minister for Revenue and Housing and Mr Subha Thangavelan as Minister for Slum Clearance and Accommodation control, a Raj Bhavan release said.
