Husband sentenced to life for killing wife

Rourkela, Sep 27 (UNI) A person was sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 imposed for killing his wife.

Additional District and Sessions Judge (First Track) Sobhan Kumar Das today awarded life imprisonment to 38 year old Bisram Horo of Ambasaran village under Lathikata Police station for killing his wife Manika Horo.

According to the prosecution, Bisram wanted to kill his wife so he could marry another girl. On December 7 last year, he hacked her to death.

The accused was later arrested by the police.
