New Delhi, Sep 27 (UNI) Delhi High Court today issued contempt notices to AIIMS director Dr P Venugopal, K D sharma Store incharge AIIMS for not obeying the court order and withdrawing the contract of a security agency.

Jusice S Ravinder Bhatt asked the duo to reply by January 11,2008 as to why contempt proceedings against them should not be issued for voilating the court orders.

Arguing for the Petitioner Prehary placement and security agency lawyer Navin Kumar Jaggi said that the Court had earlier categorically ruled that AIIMs should retain the security agency for a minimum of two years and if the agency gives a satisfactory performance the contract should be renewed for another two years.

Mr Jaggi contended that the AIIMS store incharge violated the court order and called for fresh tenders and the contract of Security agency was given away to other Security agency.

Mr Jaggi also said that not only the contract was cancelled, but all their belongings were seized by the officials of AIIMS. The AIIMS officials contended that a factual mistake relating to the same name of both the parties had arisen and the contract was awarded to another agency, The other security agency which got the contract has a similar name and instead of awarding the contract to Prahary Placement and security services it was given away to one Prahari security and detective services pvt ltd.
