CM gives cash awards to students

Chennai, Sep 27 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today distributed cash awards to students who pursued their studies in schools run by the Adi Dravidar Welfare Board and achieved state ranks and for those appearing for IAS main examinations.

The Chief Miniter distributed the cash awards of Rs 10,000 each to six standard X boys and girls and Rs 25,000 each to six standard XII students, an official releaes here said.

Five students, appearing for IAS main examinations, were given an assistance of Rs 25,000 each.

Adi Dravidar Welfare Minister Tamizharasi and senior officials were present on the occasion.
