Airtel launches Wi-Fi service

Chennai, Sep 27 (UNI) Airtel Broadband and Telephone Services (Airtel B&TS), India's largest private broadband and telephone service provider, has launched 'Wi-Fi' service for its customers in South India offering it for a monthly rental rate of Rs 99.

The offer would give Airtel broadband customers wireless access to a true broadband experience of upto two MBPS speed.

Announcing the launch of service, Airtel Chief Operating Officer (South) Shamik Dass in a release said "our Wi-Fi service at Rs 99 per month would promote affordable wireless access to a true broadband experience for a new generation that is seamlessly using Wi-Fi networks to exchange files and upload personalised content".

To avail this service, the customer needs to send an SMS 'WWW' to 53636 or call 4555 4444, the release added.
