Vice-President condoles Krishnamurthy's death

New Delhi, Sep 26 (UNI) Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari has expressed his heartfelt condolences at the passing away of Rajya Sabha member and former Union Minister K Jana Krishnamurthy, describing him as ''a noted public personality who was always alive to the social concerns of our times''.

In a condolence message to his wife, Ms Bhagyalakshmi, Mr Ansari noted that Krishnamurthy was ''always admired by the people for his dedication, sense of public service and honesty.'' The Vice President also conveyed his condolences to the members of the bereaved family and the wide circle of his admirers and friends.

A former BJP President, Krishnamurthy died yesterday in a Chennai hospital after a prolonged illness.
