Vijayawada, Sep 26 (UNI) The opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) today alleged that the ruling Congress was not taking appropriate security measures in the wake of recent bomb blasts in Andhra Pradesh.

Talking to newspersons here, TDP official spokesperson and former Minister Tammineni Sitaram said the Centre had already alerted the state government about the threat perception from terrorists, but the government had failed to curb such incidents.

Hyderabad was becoming a ''crime'' city in the state, where innocent people were being killed, he alleged.

He also demanded that the government must conduct a judicial inquiry into the alleged rape of 11 tribal women of Vakapalli village in Visakhapatnam district by the Special police personnel engaged in anti-Naxal operations.
