Pranab Mukherjee condoles death of Jana Krishnamurthy

New Delhi, Sep 26 (UNI) External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee today condoled the death of senior BJP leader Jana Krishnamurthy, describing him an important leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

In a condolence message to Mrs Jana Krishnamurthy, from New York where he is attending the UN General Assembly session, the External Affairs Minister said the former Union Minister of Law and Justice in the NDA government was an ''important leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party,'' ''As a former Union Minister of Law and Justice and an important leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, I had the privilege of interacting with Mr Krishnamurthy on a number of occasions and found his advice and views very useful,'' Mr Mukherjee said.

Mr Krishnamurthy served on the Standing Committee on External Affairs and a number of other Parliamentary Committees and made valuable contribution to their work, the External Affairs Minister added.
