Minister refutes CPI(M) charges on housing scheme

Hyderabad, Sep 26 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Housing B Satyanarayana today refuted the charge of CPI (M) state unit Secretary B V Raghavulu that 40 per cent of eligible poor were not allotted houses under the 'Indiramma' programme.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the Marxist leader was making ''baseless allegations'' against the Government without verifying facts.

The scheme was progressing in a transparent manner and officials had already identified eligible poor people for distribution of houses in its second phase.

Mr Satyanarayana said he urged leaders of all the political parties to to identify eligible people and added that the ''scheme had nothing to do with party affiliations.'' Mr Raghavulu was making false allegations to obstruct the scheme and to gain political mileage, he alleged.
