Lawyers stay away from courts on TN CM's remarks

Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Sep 26 (UNI) Lawyers of Bantumilli in Krishna District stayed away from court today as a mark of protest against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's remarks on Lord Ram.

Alleging the remarks hurt the sentiments of the Hindus, they wanted Mr Karunanidhi to apologise. Bar Association President K Rambabu led the boycott programme.
