Lankan arrested for fake passport
Chennai, Sep 26 (UNI) A Switzerland-bound Sri Lankan National who tried to board a Colombo-bound flight with a fake Greecian passport, was arrested at the International airport here last night.
Airport sources said Lankan Murali Kanagasabai (25) had a valid ticket to Colombo and also for a connecting flight to Switzerland from there.
He had come to Bangalore from Colombo last month and came to Chennai to get a fake passport as Lankans were not allowed entry in Switzerland.
He approached an agent and purchased the passport and a fake visa. When his documents were verified by the immigration authorities, Murali spilled the beans and said he was going to Switzerland to meet his brother, who had offered him a job there.
Murali was handed over to the airport police who arrested him.
