HAU's Nehru Library to be upgraded

Hisar, Sep 26 (UNI) Haryana Agriculrural University (HAU) Vice-Chancellor J C Katyal today said a sum of Rs 60 lakh would be spent on upgradation of Nehru Library of the university during the current fiscal.

The amount was ten times more than what was allocated two years ago, Dr Katyal said while talking to media persons after inaugurating a book exhibition at Nehru Library.

He said in view of the importance of library in an institute of higher learning, the upgradation of HAU Library was on his priority list after taking over the office.

Last year the budget of Nehru Library was increased from Rs Six lakh to Rs 36 lakh, but this year an allocation of Rs 60 lakh had been made, he said.
