Attempt to murder charges against K'taka Minister
Bangalore, Sep 26 (UNI) Police registered two attempt to murder charges against Karnataka Tourism and Infrastructure Minister Sri Ramulu.
According to police sources, the Bellari district police registered two separate cases against Mr Ramulu under IPC 307 for allegedly attempting to murder a JD(S) activist during an election campaign last night.
Police also registered similar cases against G Janardhana Reddy, MLC, who was suspended by BJP earlier, for hurling corruption charges of Rs 150 crore against Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy in the alleged mining operations in Bellary district.
The police said cases were registered following a complaint from the JD(S). The JD(S) members, led by Suryanarayana Reddy, MLA, staged a dharna demanding immediate action on the Minister and his associate.
In another case, the police registered cases against Mr Ramulu and Janardhana Reddy for allegedly obstructing state officials in discharging their duties.
Senior police officials said though investigation was underway, no arrest was made.
