Pune, Sep 24 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi today claimed the UPA government would dissolve Parliament, ahead of the winter session, as it had lost face over the Ram Sethu issue and the controversial nuclear deal with US.

Addressing a news conference at the Patrakar Bhavan here, Mr Joshi said the Ram Sethu project was not going to benefit the nation.

''In my opinion, the Parliament will be dissolved before the winter session on these issues,'' he said.

The government had sought three months time from the Supreme Court to file an affidavit which was incomprehensible as there appeared to be a motive behind that as well, he said.

The Sethusamudram Project had drawn a flak from top scientists, environmental engineers, experts, fishing community and the locals, who have formed pressure groups to stall the project, besides even political parties like AIADMK, Shiv Sena, SP and RJD have been opposing the project.
