Sonia Gandhi to address Bijli Rally in Jhajjar, Haryana

New Delhi, Sep 24 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the ''Bijli Rally'' to be addressed by UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi on October 7 at village Jhadli in Jhajjar district would be the biggest ever rally in all respects in the State.

The Chief Minister, who held a meeting of Haryana Congress Legislative Party here today, urged the MPs, Ministers and MLAs present in the meeting to motivate the people to attend the rally in large number.

Mr Hooda said Ms Gandhi, during her one-day visit to the State on October 7, would lay the foundation stone of National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) at Kundli in Sonipat district. Thereafter, she would visit Jhajjar and lay the foundation stone of 1500 MW Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Plant.

With the commissioning of this project, the power situation would improve in the State, Mr Hooda said.

Thereafter, she would lay the foundation stone of 73.36 km-long Rewari-Jhajjar-Rohtak railway line. Its construction would cost Rs 330.23 crore. He said Mrs Gandhi would also unveil a statue of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in Rewari.

The President of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee, Mr. Phool Chand Mullana urged the MLAs and MPs of the party to do their best for the success of the rally.

He also impressed upon them to hold meetings of office bearers and workers of the Congress Party in their respective districts before October 4 for the success of the rally.
