Rupee up by 5 paise at 39.82 per USD

Mumbai, Sep 24 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate at Rs 39.82 per US dollar.

The reference rate was up by 5 paise as compared to previous day's (September 21, 2007) rate of Rs 39.87 per USD, an RBI spokesperson said.
